The Supreme Court released additional orders from the January 4 conference on Monday.The justices issued summary opinions in City of Escondido v. Emmons and Shoop v. Hill.

On Tuesday, the justices released their opinionsinHenry Schein Inc. v. Archer and White Sales Inc.andCulbertson v. Berryhill.

On Monday, the justices heard oral argument inMerck Sharp & Dohme Corp. v. Albrecht andObduskey v. McCarthy & Holthus LLP.

On Tuesday, the justices heard oral argument in Herrera v. Wyoming andFourth Estate Public Benefit Corp. v. Wall-Street.com.

On Wednesday, the justices heard oral argument in Franchise Tax Board of California v. Hyatt.

On Friday, the justices met for their January 11 conference. That afternoon, the justices granted eight new cases:Quarles v. United States,Rehaif v. United States,Parker Drilling Management Services, Ltd. v. Newton,North Carolina Department of Revenue v. The Kimberley Rice Kaestner 1992 Family Trust,Food Marketing Institute v. Argus Leader Media,McDonough v. Smith,Fort Bend County, Texas v. Davis andMitchell v. Wisconsin.
