Zachary Shemtob
Before joining SCOTUSblog as its executive editor, Zach practiced law at a boutique law firm in New York, specializing in white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. Zach graduated from Georgetown Law where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review. After practicing briefly in biglaw, he clerked for federal judges in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to his legal career, Zach was an assistant professor of criminology at Central Connecticut State University, where he focused on legal decision making. Zach has written extensively on the Supreme Court and its jurisprudence for both academic journals and the popular press.

Amy Howe
Amy Howe is the co-founder of SCOTUSblog and its primary reporter. She was part of the blog team that won a Peabody Award in 2013, as well as a National Press Club Journalism Award for Breaking News. Before turning to full-time journalism, she served as counsel in over two dozen merits cases at the Supreme Court and argued two cases there. From 2004 until 2011, she co-taught Supreme Court litigation at Stanford Law School; from 2005 until 2013, she co-taught a similar class at Harvard Law School. She has also served as an adjunct professor at American University’s Washington College of Law and Vanderbilt Law School. Amy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a master’s degree in Arab Studies and a law degree from Georgetown University.

Sarah Isgur
Sarah Isgur is the host of Advisory Opinions and a senior editor at SCOTUSblog based in northern Virginia. Prior to joining The Dispatch in 2019, she had worked in every branch of the federal government and on three presidential campaigns. She’s also a ABC News contributor and the author of Last Branch Standing, a deep dive into the inner workings of the Supreme Court. When Sarah is not hosting podcasts or writing newsletters, she’s probably sending uplifting stories about spiders to Jonah Goldberg, who only pretends to love all animals.

Kelsey Dallas
Kelsey Dallas comes to SCOTUSblog from the Deseret News, where she spent 11 years reporting on religion and the Supreme Court. For the last two years, she also served as Deseret's assistant managing editor. Kelsey has a master's degree in religion from Yale Divinity School. She grew up in Illinois, but now lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two young kids.

Nora Collins
Nora is an Editorial Assistant at SCOTUSblog, based in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the company in 2025, she was a Medical News Journalism Fellow at the Journal of the American Medical Association and an intern at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression. She also held several editorial positions at The Daily Northwestern and completed internships at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
