Kal handles petitions for SCOTUSblog. His duties include monitoring newly filed cert petitions, maintaining the Petitions We're Watching page, and writing the Petitions of the Week column.

Kal is currently a student at Columbia Law School. Before law school, he was the assistant director of Georgetown's Supreme Court Institute, the blog manager of SCOTUSblog, and a fellow at the American Constitution Society. Kal received his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from the University of Georgia.
