This week at the Court

The Court officially began the October Term 2011 this week. The Justices are scheduled to hear oral arguments in seven cases.

On Monday, the Court issued its second order list from the summer Conference. Among other things, it invited the Solicitor General to file briefs expressing the views of the United States in five cases. Lyles post on the order list, inducing coverage of notable denials, is here.
