Panel on the future of originalism at UVA Law

On Friday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. EST, the Federalist Society at the University of Virginia School of Law will host a discussion titled “Originalism, Institutionalism, and the Thomas Court,” focusing on how the Supreme Court’s conservative majority will shape the future of originalism and how President Joe Biden will shape the judiciary. The discussion is part of the group’s third annual symposium on originalism. Moderated by Judge Neomi Rao of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the panel will feature speakers John Malcolm of the Heritage Foundation, Jennifer Mascott of George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, and Beth Williams, a former assistant attorney general at the Department of Justice.
