The October 2018 term began on Monday. The Supreme Court released additional orders from the September 24 conference; the justices called for the views of the solicitor general in eight cases, includingAtlantic Richfield Co. v. Christian,Hernandez v. Mesa,Thole v. U.S. Bank, N.A., and Clearstream Banking S.A. v. Peterson, consolidated withBank Markazi v. Peterson.

On Monday, the justices heard oral argument in Weyerhaeuser Company v. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Mount Lemmon Fire District v. Guido.

On Tuesday, the justices heard oral argument in Gundy v. U.S. and Madison v. Alabama.

On Wednesday, the justices heard oral argument in Knick v. Township of Scott, Pennsylvaniaand New Prime Inc. v. Oliveira.
