Yesterday On SCOTUSblog

With so much going on at the Court, here’s a quick guide to what we had on the blog yesterday, in case you missed any of it:
The day began at 10 am with the release of opinions in five cases (see here). A brief summary of four of the decisions is here, and a more extended summary of the ruling in Danforth is here. Further analysis of that decision can also be found here.
After releasing opinions, the Court heard argument in CBOCS West v. Humphries; the transcript can be found here, and our argument analysis is here.
Unrelated to yesterday’s arguments and opinions, Tom discussed at length his interactions with the Office of the Solicitor General as part of the case Beasley v. United States in a post here called “Practice Pointer: Navigating a Novel Cert. Problem.”
Finally, Lyle also noted two additional developments that occurred yesterday at Court. The latest actions from the detainees’ lawyers in the Bismullah detainee case are described here, and another development in the case of Golden Gate Restaurant Association v. City and County of San Francisco, et al. can be found here.
