A reckless domestic assault qualifies as a "misdemeanor crime of domestic violence" that prohibits firearms possession by convicted felons under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9).

Affirmed, 6-2, in an opinion by Elena Kagan on Jun 27, 2016. Justice Thomas filed a dissenting opinion, in which Justice Sotomayor joined as to Parts I and II.
