The Supreme Court released orders from the January 5 conference on Monday. It released a summary opinion in Tharpe v. Sellers and called for the views of the solicitor general in three cases. On Monday the justices heard oral argument in Texas v. New Mexico and Colorado and Florida v. Georgia. On Tuesday they heard oral argument in Byrd v. United States and Collins v. Virginia. On Wednesday they heard oral argument in Husted v. A. Philip Randolph Institute. The calendar for the January sitting is available on the Supreme Court’s website. On Friday the justices met for their January 12 conference, after which they granted certiorari in 12 cases, for a total of 11 hours of oral argument. The order list is here.
