Special-edition round-up: Supreme Court OT10 previews

A number of panels and conferences, many of which require pre-registration, are scheduled this month and at the beginning of October to preview the Court’s 2010 Term. Details are below.
Washington, DC: Thursday, September 16 at 8:30 a.m. The Washington Legal Foundation will host a preview of the upcoming Term featuring the Honorable Dick Thornburgh, Jerrold Ganzfried, Jonathan Hacker, and Eric Lasker. Information and registration details are available here.
Washington, DC: Thursday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. The American Constitution Society will be hosting a preview of the upcoming Term featuring Rebecca Brown of USC Gould School of Law (moderator); Michael A. Carvin of Jones Day; David C. Frederick of Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans & Figel; Cynthia Jones of American University, Washington College of Law; Cyrus Mehri of Mehri & Skalet; Jennifer Chang Newell of the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project; Cliff Sloan of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; and Paul R. Washington, DC: Monday, September 20 at 9:00 a.m. Georgetown University Law Center’s Supreme Court Institute will host its annual press briefing. The event will be moderated by Georgetown’s Pamela Harris and will feature as panelists Professors Peter Edelman, Martin Lederman, Michael Gottesman, and Susan Low Bloch and Visiting Professor Brian Wolfman. Further information is available here.
Philadelphia, PA: Monday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. The National Constitution Center will be hosting an OT10 preview. The event will feature SCOTUSblog’s Lyle Denniston, Geoffrey Stone, and Helgi Walker; more information is available here.
Los Angeles, CA: Monday, September 20 at 4:30 p.m. The University of Southern California Gould School of Law in Los Angeles will be hosting a Supreme Court preview co-sponsored by school chapters of the American Constitution Society and Federalist Society. The event will be moderated by USC Law Professor Elizabeth Garrett and will feature Kathleen Sullivan of Stanford Law School, John Eastman of Chapman Law School, and Rebecca Brown of USC. More information and registration details are available here.
