The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court
Welcome to SCOTUSblog’s recurring series in which we interview experts on different supreme courts around the world and ask about how they compare to our own.

Before joining SCOTUSblog as its executive editor, Zach practiced law at a boutique law firm in New York, specializing in white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. Zach graduated from Georgetown Law where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review. After practicing briefly in biglaw, he clerked for federal judges in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to his legal career, Zach was an assistant professor of criminology at Central Connecticut State University, where he focused on legal decision making. Zach has written extensively on the Supreme Court and its jurisprudence for both academic journals and the popular press.
