Opinion recap: Court articulates test for exigent circumstances
In its decision in Kentucky v. King (09-1272), the Court holds that a warrantless entry based on exigent circumstances is permissible as long as the police did not create the exigency by engaging in, or threatening to engage in, conduct that violates the Fourth Amendment.
