More commentary relating to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees comes from Kenneth Jost, who at Jost on Justice characterized the list as a “sop to conservatives.” The editorial board of The Washington Post also weighs in, describing the list as “another way in which Mr. Trump is damaging the country’s institutional fabric, in this case by further politicizing the judiciary.”

Briefly:

• At the Gallagher Law Library Blogs, Justin Abbasi analyzes the Court’s recent decision in Husky International Electronics v. Ritz, in which the Court ruled on the definition of “actual fraud” in the Bankruptcy Code.
• The editorial board of Tulsa World cites last week’s decision in Zubik v. Burwell, the challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate, as an example of the need for a ninth Justice on the Court.
• Sahil Kapur of Bloomberg Politics reports that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton “believes a 2008 Supreme Court ruling that is the linchpin of an individual’s right to own a gun was ‘wrongly decided.’”
