The Supreme Court will consider the Obama administration’s case on the President’s power to fill government vacancies at its private Conference on June 20, the Court’s electronic docket indicated Tuesday. The case is National Labor Relations Board v. Noel Canning(docket 12-1281). Noel Canning, a Yakima, Washington, soft drink bottling company, has agreed that the Court should review the case — a major test ofthe Constitution’s grant of power to the President to name appointees temporarily to government posts when the Senate is in recess.
