This week at the Court

On Monday, the Court will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

On Tuesday, the Justices will release orders from their January 14 Conference. (Our list of “Petitions to Watch” for that Conference is here.)

At 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, the Court is expected to hand down at least one decision. We will be covering Wednesday’s opinions in a live-blog.

Also this week, the Court will continue to hear arguments for its January sitting.

On Tuesday, the Court will hear Smith v. Bayer Corp. (09-11205), Stern v. Marshall (10-179), and The Boeing Company v. United States (09-1302, consolidated with  General Dynamics Corp. v. United States, 09-1298).

On Wednesday, the Court will hear Astra USA v. Santa Clara County (09-1273) and FCC v. AT&T (09-1343).

On Friday, the Justices are scheduled to meet for their January 21 Conference.  Our list of “Petitions to Watch” for that Conference is here.
