The week ahead

The Court will issue orders and opinions today at 10 a.m. Eastern, and we will offer “live” coverage of them.   We do not expect either orders or opinions from the Court on any other day this week.

Also today, the petitioners’ merits brief is due in Connick v. Thompson (09-571).

On Thursday, the Justices will hold their private conference to consider petitions for certiorari and motions in pending cases.  Our list of Petitions to Watch from that conference is forthcoming.
