Leading Outstanding Opinions

Here are the five highest-profile cases that the Court has yet to decide:
Kelo — takings (argued Feb. 22)
Van Orden / McCreary County — Ten Commandments (Mar. 2)
Castle Rock — protective orders (Mar. 21)
Grokster — file-sharing (Mar. 29)
Brand X — Internet access (Mar. 29)
Of these, I think that Castle Rock is the most likely to be decided Monday. And Miller-El (Batson challenges, argued Dec. 6) is due to be decided as well. Other high-profile cases will probably have to wait. If practice from past terms holds, drafts of all of the majority opinions have circulated in the Court, but some dissents may not yet be in circulation and further exchanges of drafts will continue until the Term concludes at the end of June.
