Online Forum Discusses “De Facto” Death Penalty Moratorium

Earlier today, the web site of the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer posted an extended discussion on stays of execution and whether the Court has effectively imposed a moratorium on the death penalty until it issues a decision in Baze v. Rees (07-5439). Ray Suarez of PBS moderated the Insider Forum, which featured Virgina Sloan of the Constitution Project and Kent Scheidegger of the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation (and familiar name to SCOTUSblog readers).
