Briefly:
- SCOTUSblog’s online symposium on Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin continues with posts from Richard Kahlenberg and Stuart Taylor, Jr. and Richard Sander.
- Douglas Berman at Sentencing Law and Policy and Kent Scheidegger at Crime and Consequences both cover a recent article in The New York Times by Adam Liptak (which Kiran covered yesterday), who describes the Court’s procedures for handling capital cases and, in particular, stays of execution.
- In the Boston Review, Pamela Karlan discusses the process by which Justices and federal judges are nominated and confirmed, as well the causes and consequences of the current vacancies on the federal bench.
- At Sentencing Law and Policy, Douglas Berman links to a recent article in the Tampa Tribune on the effects of Graham v. Florida and Miller v. Alabama on sentences for juvenile offenders in Florida.
