Mock moot event on health care

The California Endowment in Los Angeles is hosting a mock moot court tomorrow in Department of Health and Human Services v. Florida , examining the lawfulness of the Affordable Care Act’s minimum coverage requirement.

Kathleen M. Sullivan, partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP and the former dean of Stanford Law School, will argue for the constitutionality of the of the minimum coverage provision opposite Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr., partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP.  Justices include Vikram Amar, Hon. Gray Davis, Judge Alex Ferrer, Daniel Philip Kessler, Thomas E. Lorentzen, Rachel F. Moran, Hon. Carlos R. Moreno, Thomas A. Saenz, and Hon. Deanell Reece Tacha.  More details regarding the event, including how to register, are available at the Endowment’s website.
