Today at the Court

We’re expecting one or more opinions this morning from the Court starting at 10 a.m.  We will be “live” blogging.

Then the Court will hear oral argument in just one case, Dolan v. United States (09-367).  The question presented is whether a district court may order a convicted defendant to pay restitution after the expiration of the ninety-day period prescribed by the Mandatory Victims Restitution Act of 1996.  Carl Cecere of Akin Gump previewed the case yesterday for SCOTUSblog.

[Disclosure: Akin Gump and Howe & Russell represent the petitioner in this case, but Carl was not involved in the case.]
