The Court’s public session begins at 10 a.m.   If any opinions are released, we will promptly report them.

The only oral argument scheduled for today is in Samantar v. Yousuf (08-1555).  In that case, the Court will consider whether a foreign state's immunity from suit under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act extends to an individual acting in his official capacity on behalf of a foreign state and, if so, whether an individual who is no longer an official of a foreign state at the time suit is filed retains immunity.  Lyle previewed the case yesterday on SCOTUSblog, and podcasts with counsel in the case will be posted on the blog later this morning.  [Disclosure: Akin Gump and Howe & Russell represent the respondents in the case.]
