Wearry v. Cain

Docket No.14-10008
Op. BelowLa.

Holding

Louisiana's postconviction court erred in denying Michael Wearry's request for post-conviction relief, because the prosecution's failure to disclose material evidence supporting Wearry's innocence violated his due process rights.

Judgment

Reversed and remanded, 6-2 on Mar 7, 2016. Justice Alito filed a dissenting opinion, in which Justice Thomas joined.
