(1) Whether restitution is part of a criminal sentence, such that waiver of the right to appeal “any sentence”? bars a defendant from appealing the amount of restitution imposed pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2559; and, if so, (2) under what circumstances does the waiver of the right to appeal one's sentence preclude a court of appeals from reviewing the legality of an award.
