The Fifth Circuit"s determination that a police officer who shot at a fleeing suspect"s car, killing him, is not entitled to qualified immunity is reversed, because existing precedent did not place the conclusion that the officer acted unreasonably "beyond debate."

Reversed, 8-1 on Nov 9, 2015. Justice Scalia filed a concurring opinion. Justice Sotomayor filed a dissenting opinion.
