The Court decided without oral argument that an officer’s decision to enter a home without a warrant, after observing blood on the hood of a pickup truck outside and newly broken windows inside the house, did not violate the Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures.

Judgment

Reversed and remanded, 7-2 on Dec 7, 2009.
