Galicia v. Maryland

(1) Whether the Sixth Amendment is violated by a trial court"s denial of cross-examination into an accomplice"s confession, where the prosecution introduced the confession, where the confession implicates other co-conspirators, and where the inquiry would fairly rebut the inference that the defendant participated in a double murder; and (2) whether appellate courts should review violations of the Sixth Amendment"s confrontation clause de novo or for abuse of discretion.
