Baker v. Rose

Certiorari Denied

Petition for certiorari denied on October 5, 2020.

Docket No.19-1255
Op. Below9th Cir.

Issue

Whether the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit"s decision " reversing a federal district court"s denial of habeas relief in a decision that sounds of ordinary error correction instead of applying the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996, after the state trial court rejected both the defendant"s and the state"s attempts to introduce evidence of uncharged acts and prior acquittals " violates the AEDPA, given that the Supreme Court reversed the 9th Circuit under materially indistinguishable circumstances in Nevada v. Jackson.
