Holding: The Department of Veterans Affairs' determination that the evidence regarding a service-related disability claim is in "approximate balance" pursuant to the "benefit-of-the-doubt rule" is a predominantly factual determination reviewed only for clear error.

Judgment: Affirmed, 7-2, in an opinion by Justice Thomas on March 5, 2025. Justice Jackson filed a dissenting opinion, in which Justice Gorsuch joined.
