This week at the court

On Monday, the Supreme Court released additional orders from the January 10 conference. The justices called for the views of the solicitor general in three cases, two of which are consolidated, and did not add any new cases to their merits docket. The justices also heard oral argument in Lucky Brand Dungarees v. Marcel Fashion Group andThole v. U.S. Bank.

On Tuesday, the court released its opinions in Ritzen Group v. Jackson Masonry and Retirement Plans Committee of IBM v. Jander. The justices also heard oral argument in Kelly v. United States andRomag Fasteners v. Fossil.

On Wednesday, the justices heard oral argument in Babb v. Wilkie.

On Friday, the Supreme Court released orders from the January 17 conference. The justices granted six cases for a total of three hours of oral argument.
