Court declines to block Tennessee’s execution of Stephen Michael West

The Supreme Court this evening denied the applications for stay of execution and the petition for a writ of certiorari filed by Stephen Michael West in the capital case West v. Parker, 19-5561. Tennessee plans to execute Stephen Michael West, who was sentenced to death row for the 1986 murders of Wanda and Sheila Romines, by electrocution at 7 p.m. CDT.
