Well, one question has been answered: Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been nominated to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court.
But plenty more questions remain: How much did Kennedy have to do with the nomination? Where does Kavanaugh fall on the ideological scale? How did neatly packaged conservative and liberal judicial strategies come to be? And are we actually just reliving the beginning of the 20th century?
