This week at the court

The Supreme Court released additional orders from the December 1 conference on Monday. The court called for the views of the solicitor general in Merck Sharp & Dohme v. Albrecht. The justices heard oral argument on Monday inChristie v. National Collegiate Athletic AssociationandRubin v. Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday inMasterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, and on Wednesday inMurphy v. SmithandMarinello v. United States. The calendar for the December sitting is available on the court’s website. On Friday the justices met for their December 8 conference; that afternoon they added seven new cases to their merits docket.
