Upcoming events in San Francisco

On February 10, the World Affairs Council of Northern California will host a program on the future of the Roberts Court at its auditorium in San Francisco.  Over brunch, SCOTUSblog’s Tom Goldstein will discuss the course of the Roberts Court, from the dozens of major decisions over the past ten years that have moved the law generally, but not uniformly, to the right to the possibility of even greater shifts over the next five years.  A link to the program is here.

At 6 p.m. on February 10, the Commonwealth Club of California will host a program titled “Surprises and New Directions from the Roberts U.S. Supreme Court” at its office in San Francisco.  Jesse H. Choper, the Earl Warren Professor of Public Law at UC Berkeley School of Law, and SCOTUSblog’s Tom Goldstein will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the current Court, including how Chief Justice John Roberts works and interacts with the other Justices.  A link to the program is here.
