Today at the Court

At 10 a.m., the Court may release the opinion in one or more pending cases. Following the release of any opinions, the Court will hear argument in Polar Tankers, Inc. v. City of Valdez, Alaska (08-310), on the city’s tax on large vessels from out-of-state that use its harbor.  Charles Rothfeld of Mayer Brown in Washington will argue for the tanker company. Theodore Olson of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Washington will argue for the city.
