Jeffrey Rosen of the New Republic has a new book out entitled The Most Democratic Branch: How The Courts Serve America, and Dahlia Lithwick has a review at Slate here.
David Cole of Georgetown has an extended analysis of Hamdan forthcoming in the New York Review of Books. Called “How the Supreme Court Struck Back,” the entire piece has been posted here, at the website of Mother Jones magazine.
The New York Times carried a piece over the weekend about what is going on in Texas in response to the Supreme Court decision that has forced more redistricting before the 2006 elections. It can be found here.
Finally, this AP story notes notes in a small blurb that 32 years ago today (July 24, 1974) the Supreme Court issued its ruling in United States v. Nixon, forcing the president to turn over audio tapes to the Watergate special prosecutor. More on the case can be found here.
