This week at the Court

At 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Monday, the Court is expected to release orders from its October 29 Conference. (Our list of “Petitions to Watch for that Conference is here.) We will be covering those orders on the blog. Also on Monday, the Court begins hearing arguments for its November sitting; we have begun posting argument previews.

On Monday, the Court will hear Ortiz v. Jordan (09-737) and United States v. Tohono O’Odham Nation (09-846).

On Tuesday, the Court will hear Schwarzenegger v. Entertainment Merchants Association (09-1448), Sossamon v. Texas (08-1438), and Staub v. Proctor Hospital (09-400).

On Wednesday, the Court will hear Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization v. Winn and Garriott v. Winn (09-987 and 09-991), and Williamson v. Mazda Motor (08-1314).

On Friday, the Justices will meet for their November 5 Conference. Our "Petitions to Watch" list for that Conference is available here.
