Yesterday a divided Court declined to block a Texas law that requires doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital within thirty miles of the clinic where they perform abortions. Opponents of the law contend that the law will make it significantly more difficult for pregnant women, especially those in rural areas, to obtain abortions.
