Non-Raich Posts, and Future Meta/Mega Blogging

I personally was very pleased that SCOTUSblog had the opportunity to facilitate so much great discussion on Raich.

A couple of things struck me. First, it could be a bit overwhelming for people not that into Raich. I can see the same thing happening with cases like Kelo, Grokster, and the Ten Commandments. So, if we can generate the same level of excellent commentary with varying perspective for cases like those, we’ll try to put together a meta/mega-blog on a special, sister-site associated with SCOTUSblog. That way, readers can more easily exercise the choice whether to read all the discussion on one subject.

Second, it seemed possible that readers might have missed some of our non-Raich posts yesterday, so I’ll mention them again here. We launched a new blog devoted to the Supreme Court nomination process. Heather posted a visual summary of the breakdown of Monday’s opinions. I posted on the Spector cruise ships case. Marty discussed the Orders List and I added a note about the media cross-ownership petitions. Lyle’s first post of the day discussed both orders and the opinions.
