The petition of the day is:

Issue: Whether a court has the inherent authority to impose monetary sanctions against the government despite the doctrine of sovereign immunity, when the government acts in bad faith by making misrepresentations to the court and by violating and ignoring the terms of an otherwise valid and enforceable court order.
