This week on the Wiki

This morning, the Court handed down opinions in four cases, and we have updated the corresponding pages on our sister site, SCOTUSwiki, to reflect those developments. To the case pages for Graham v. Florida and Sullivan v. Florida, we have added links to this morning’s opinions (a reversal and remand in Graham, and a per curiam dismissal in Sullivan), as well as an opinion analysis, covering both cases, by Lyle Denniston of SCOTUSblog. The case pages for Abbott v. Abbott and United States v. Comstock have been updated to include links to the opinions in those cases, and we will add recaps of the rulings later this week. In response to the Court’s only cert. grant this morning, we have created a case page for Wall v. Kholi, and we have added another case, Louisiana Safety Association of Timbermen – Self Insurers Fund v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London, to our list of cases in which the Court has called for the views of the Solicitor General.
No opinions were handed down last week, and no orders were issued, so the only other substantial updates to the Wiki have involved newly filed merits briefs in cases scheduled for argument next Term. The case page for Abbott v. United States and Gould v. United States has been updated to include two new amicus briefs, while the case page for Harrington v. Richter now includes a link to the petitioner’s brief.
