If the Court issues orders today, we will report on them promptly. This morning the Court will hear oral arguments in the following cases:
10 a.m. – In Alabama v. North Carolina (132 Original), the Court has agreed to hear an interstate dispute over enforcement of a regional pact on disposal of radioactive waste.
11 a.m. – In Briscoe v. Virginia (07-11191), the question before the Court is whether a prosecutor may, consistent with the Confrontation Clause of the Sixth Amendment, introduce a lab report as evidence at trial without calling the scientist who prepared the report to testify.
