Update on detainee cases

The Supreme Court is now deliberating two cases on the legal rights of detainees. But those cases are merely the furthest along of a wide array of cases involving prisoners being held by the U.S. military at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, or in other detention facilities. David H. Remes, a partner at Covington & Burling in Washington, has prepared this roundup of the pending litigation. He is counsel for prisoners in some of the cases listed.
