On Tuesday, the blog will post the first installment of its Q&A with Jeffrey Toobin, author of The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court.
No top side briefs are due this week. Bottom side briefs are due Thursday in CSX Transportation v. Georgia Board of Equalization (06-1287) and Friday in Department of Revenue of Kentucky v. Davis (06-666).
On Sept. 24 — one week from today — the Justices will hold their pre-Term opening Conference. If the Court agrees at the Conference to grant new cases for review, orders to that effect would be expected to be issued on the morning of Sept. 25.
