Next Thursday, June 14, 2007, the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, and the Federalist Society are hosting a panel discussion, “After Gonzales v. Carhart: The Future of Abortion Jurisprudence and the Abortion Debate”, at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Additional information is available here.

The ACS is also hosting “The 2006-2007 Supreme Court Term Review” on Thursday, June 28, 2007, from 9:00am to 10:30am at the National Press Club. Tony Mauro of the Legal Times will moderate a panel discussion sponsored by Thomson West and Jenner & Block – “Sizing Up the 2006-2007 Supreme Court Term: A Practitioner’s View” – at Georgetown University Law Center on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, from 3:30pm to 5:00 pm. Distinguished practitioners will analyze the changes in the Court this term, the strategies of the lawyers who won and lost, and the outlook for the 2007-2008 term. In addition, Seth Waxman, Co-Chair of the Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Group at WilmerHale LLP, will deliver the Chautauqua Institution’s third annual Robert H. Jackson Lecture this summer. He will speak about “The Evolving, Tentative Role of United States Courts in the War on Terror” on Monday, July 9, 2007, at 4:00pm in Chatauqua, NY.
