Developments on campaign finance case

Attorneys involved in a significant test case at the Supreme Court on campaign ads during election season said Friday they were told that the case would be considered at the Jan. 19 Conference of the Court, although no formal action was expected to be taken today (Friday).
The motion of Wisconsin Right to Life to expedite the coming appeals by the Federal Election Commission and four members of Congress will be held temporarily, with the understanding that the appeals will be filed on Jan. 12 and WRTL will file its response on Jan. 15, according to counsel.
