Holding: Castleman's state conviction for misdemeanor domestic assault qualifies as a "misdemeanor crime of domestic violence" for purposes of possessing a firearm under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9).

Judgment: Reversed and remanded, 9-0, in an opinion by Justice Sotomayor on March 26, 2014. Justice Scalia filed an opinion concurring in part and concurring in the judgment. Justice Alito filed an opinion concurring in the judgment, in which Justice Thomas joined.
