The Court will hear oral argument in two cases:
10 a.m. – In Kucana v. Holder (08-911), the Court will consider whether federal courts have jurisdiction to review a decision by the Board of Immigration Appeals denying a motion to reopen a prior decision. This morning Anna Christensen of Howe & Russell discusses the issues in the case on SCOTUSblog.
11 a.m. – In Hertz Corporation v. Friend (08-1107), the Court will decide the standard for determining a company’s place of business for diversity jurisdiction. Stanford law student Sina Kian previewed the case earlier for SCOTUSblog.
