New Assistants to the SG
At least four new attorneys have been hired as Assistants to the Solicitor General:
Curtis Gannon, from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Toby Heytens, from the University of Virginia Law School
Leondra Kruger, from the University of Chicago Law School (and recently of WilmerHale)
and
Anthony Yang, from the Civil Appellate Division.
My understanding is that there are at least two other openings still to be filled.

Wait — who is the SG?!?
I checked Google News in case I missed it during the holiday weekend, but I see nothing. Last week, I had believed SG Clement was headed to DoJ, but there was no official word (that I could find) of any acting SG.
Congratulations to all the new Assistants to the SG, but I want to know who our acting SG is going into OT2007!
