An acquital simply means a return to indefinite detention as an enemy combatant. A conviction means a possible execution in some of the cases. Why would there be a release? I have seen many attorneys who get wrapped up in the "cause" that they forget that they may be hurting their clients. I look to see a few acquitals in these proceedings - and their extended stay in GTMO is attributed to their own attorneys. And yet they complain of no "habeaus" rights - thus I wonder if those same attorneys who seem to be spending most of the legal career talking to reporters even understand what habeaus is and its purpose.
